CMA AWARDS INSPIRATION
The CMAs (Country Music Association Awards) celebrate its 50th year in November 2016. It is a very prestigious award which is given to country music artists and broadcasters to recognise their outstanding achievement in the country music industry. The first CMA award was presented in the year 1967. The annual awards are given in 12 categories: Entertainer, Male Vocalist, Female Vocalist, New Artist (previously known as the Horizon Award until 2008),Vocal Group, Vocal Duo (introduced in 1970), Single, Album, Song, Musical Event (split off from the Vocal Duo award in 1988 as Vocal Event), Music Video (introduced in 1985), and Musician. The awards are held every year in October or November.
Listed below are a few of the fashion inspirations this year :
JENNIFER NETTLES: This Unlove You singer wore a red J Mendel figure hugging gown with a thigh high slit. And doesn’t she look stunning in it ?!
CARRIE UNDERWOOD: The Good Girl singer looked the most stunning in Michael Cinco beaded dusty pink halter gown which perfectly matched her short hair. Underwood changed her costume 12 times and outdid herself. She changed her costumes 10 times last year. She also won the Female Vocalist of the Year award!
BEYONCE: The Grammy winner wore a curve-hugging sequinned and beaded dress! Covered in what looked like thousands of pearls, she has never looked better.
Jennifer Garner wore a sequin column Jenny Packham dress paired with big jewels and needless to say she looked gorgeous.
Kelsea Ballerini: She wore a stunning floral gown that she found on Instagram of all places, and looked dreamy in it!
Kimberly Williams Paisley: She wore an emerald Rubin Singer gown with a sweetheart neckline and Johnathon Arndt jewellery, including a necklace with a 20-carat yellow diamond pendant.
Sharon Stone: The star oozed glamour in an extremely stunning black gown that had a plunging neckline, a dramatic pair of silver chandelier style earrings and a large black ring.
MADDIE MARLOW & TAYLOR DYE: Maddie in a forest green gown with an asymmetrical neckline and matching Tyler Ellis clutch. Taylor Dye wearing Nicole Miller paired with a gold metallic abstract print design.
Garth Brooks won the Entertainer of the Year award, Dolly Patron won the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award and Kenny Chesney won the Pinnacle Award amongst a few others. There were so many more stars that looked stunning at the event! It was a star-studded event indeed.
